Check the Clues is a series of books based around a co-operative learning approach to Solving Problems.
It follows Polya's Problem Solving Approach which is Understand the Problem, Devise a Plan, Carry out the Plan and Look Back.
The role of mathematical language is highlighted when solving problems.
Children work co-operatively in groups to solve these problems, learning valuable mathematics content and language along the way
